Reverend C. Eddie Allen and his wife Kim are native South Carolinians and have been involved in ministry for over three decades, with a shepherd’s heart for ministry training and discipleship of the body of Christ being the nucleus of his passion.
Brother Allen has served the Church of God in this state as a State Evangelist, Associate Pastor, Youth and Christian Education Pastor, Minister of Music, and Senior Pastor. He was also instrumental in developing SCYLF (South Carolina Youth Leaders Fellowship) in 1987. Elected by his peers, Doctor Allen has served on the State Youth and Christian Education Board (1988-1992; 1994-1998); the State Council (1998-2002; 2006-2008); and has been reappointed as Director of Church Ministries for the Church of God in South Carolina on five occasions (2002-2004; 2004-2006; 2008-2010; 2010-2012; 2012- 2014; 2014-current). His duties include church planting, evangelism, lay ministries, prison ministries, prayer ministries, Hispanic and Cross-cultural ministries, coordinator of state events (including two Camp Meetings, Prayer Conferences, and Minister Meetings), office manager, assisting the Administrative Bishop, and Ministerial Development (CAMS, MIP, Pastoral Training, and Lay Leadership Development). His portfolio also includes opportunities to minister and represent Church Ministries and Ministerial Development in churches across the state of South Carolina.
His pastoral appointment includes the Donaldson Church of God, Greenville, South Carolina (1991-2002; 2006-2008). This church grew from thirty to over four hundred attending during his tenure there with a relocation project that included eighteen acres of property, an educational facility and sanctuary complex. He felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to return to the Donaldson church following his term at the State Office in 2006 for two years before being asked to consider a reappointment to the state office in 2008 to the same administrative position. Dr. Allen has served as Senior Pastor at Tremont Church of God in Greenville, South Carolina since June 2015.
Reverend Allen has served the denomination as a member of International Boards including the International Youth and Christian Education Board (1998-2002), and the International Ministerial Development Board (2004-2010).
